who we are

UV-Clear™ is an American DeepTech and hardware company building the LED-based replacement for mercury UV-C, the century-old technology used to sanitize air in hospitals, schools, and public buildings, now being phased out worldwide.

Why We Built It

Mercury Problematic

Mercury UV-C lamps degrade rapidly and require frequent replacement.

Mercury Hazardous

Mercury UV-C lamps create hazardous waste on disposal

Mercury Ban

Mercury is on its way out. Globally. Through regulatory action.

R

We made it happen!

The market needed a replacement. We built it.

Where We Stand

But we'd like to push for additional testing

COMPLETE

Preliminary ASHRAE 185.1-2020 calibration

UV-Clear™ was tested against ASHRAE 185.1/2 standards with no PTFE reflective materials added to the duct and no burn-in where the device is running before measurement begins. To our knowledge, we are the first UV-C device tested in this manner which was designed to simulate real-world installations and field deployments across all moving air environments. UV-Clear™s prototype device, under 50% power load, was certified by AirMid to provide a 64% first-pass inactivation of MS2 bacteriophage at 2000 CFM

This is a first data point from a prototype still in calibration, an opening result, not a finished spec. More is on the way.

PHASE 2 TESTING UNDERWAY

ASHRAE 241 Schedule F compliance

H1N1 testing on both high and low power settings is actively in progress, specifically targeting ASHRAE 241 Schedule F procurement compliance. Schedule F is the standard your institutional procurement team will require before approving a germicidal UV specification. We are not claiming 241 compliance today. We are showing you the testing roadmap, where we are on it, and what comes next.

ISSUED

IP position

The core thermal innovation is protected by an issued U.S. utility patent US 12,588,134 B2. The patent covers the passive cooling approach that makes dense UV-C LED arrays viable in fast-moving air. This is the barrier that separates UV-Clear™ from off-the-shelf LED products that burn out under real duct conditions.

WORKING HYPOTHESIS 30–50

Equivalent Air Exchange (eACH)

Based on system geometry, airflow parameters, and first-pass test results, our current scientific and mathematical hypothesis places UV-Clear™'s equivalent clean air delivery contribution in the 30–50 eACH range for standard commercial duct configurations. This is a working projection, not yet a certified figure, it will be validated and refined as Phase 2 testing progresses. We're telling you the hypothesis now because compliance buyers deserve to know the number we're working toward, not just that we're "testing."

MANUFACTURE-READY

The platform design is finalized

The product line - ClearFlow 120, ClearFlow 240, ClearFlow 480, is production-ready across small commercial to large institutional air handler configurations. You are not buying a concept or a prototype pipeline.

You are engaging with a production-ready system that is still accumulating proof points.
industry readiness

UV-Clear™ leading the way

UV-C is the last major light source category that hasn't completed its transition to solid-state LED. Nichia, the LED manufacturer and the company behind the Nobel Prize-winning blue LED, has stated publicly that manufacturing capacity is not a barrier. The transition is happening. UV-Clear™ is the platform built to lead it.
