The Problem
Your customers' problem, which is your opportunity.
Mercury is on its way out. Globally. Through regulatory action. The technology that has run air sanitization for a century is on a hard deadline. The market needs a replacement.
Your customers, building operators, facilities managers, school districts, healthcare systems, are already running mercury UV-C equipment or planning to specify it. That equipment is going away. The question isn't whether they'll need a replacement. The question is what they replace it with, and who puts it in their hands first.
That gap is your opportunity. And it's open right now.
At the same time, ASHRAE 241 is creating a new wave of institutional procurement demand for documented, auditable germicidal UV systems. Hospitals, schools, and government facilities are increasingly requiring ASHRAE 241 Schedule F compliance before approving a germicidal UV specification. Most of the market doesn't yet have a credible LED-based answer to put in front of those buyers.
One product family. Three sizes. Every building with HVAC is a potential installation.
The timing is the differentiator. The mercury ban isn't a future concern, it's a fixed regulatory deadline with a hard date. That creates a natural, urgency-driven conversation with any customer currently specifying or maintaining mercury UV-C systems. You're not selling them something new. You're helping them get ahead of something inevitable.
The Solution
UV-Clear™ is a direct retrofit into existing HVAC ductwork. One six-inch hole, existing power, standard HVAC labor.
Your contractors can add it to any service call, any retrofit project, any new build specification without new certifications, new tools, or new crew. It goes in fast, it performs immediately, and it requires no structural changes to the building.
Our product line scales to cover the jobs your customers already bring you.
Where We Stand
Validated.
But we'd like to push for additional testing
COMPLETE
Preliminary ASHRAE 185.1-2020 calibration
UV-Clear™ was tested against ASHRAE 185.1/2 standards with no PTFE reflective materials added to the duct and no burn-in where the device is running before measurement begins. To our knowledge, we are the first UV-C device tested in this manner which was designed to simulate real-world installations and field deployments across all moving air environments. UV-Clear™s prototype device, under 50% power load, was certified by AirMid to provide a 64% first-pass inactivation of MS2 bacteriophage at 2000 CFM
This is a first data point from a prototype still in calibration, an opening result, not a finished spec. More is on the way.
PHASE 2 TESTING UNDERWAY
ASHRAE 241 Schedule F compliance
H1N1 testing on both high and low power settings is actively in progress, specifically targeting ASHRAE 241 Schedule F procurement compliance. Schedule F is the standard your institutional procurement team will require before approving a germicidal UV specification. We are not claiming 241 compliance today. We are showing you the testing roadmap, where we are on it, and what comes next.
ISSUED
IP position
The core thermal innovation is protected by an issued U.S. utility patent US 12,588,134 B2. The patent covers the passive cooling approach that makes dense UV-C LED arrays viable in fast-moving air. This is the barrier that separates UV-Clear™ from off-the-shelf LED products that burn out under real duct conditions.
WORKING HYPOTHESIS 30–50
Equivalent Air Exchange (eACH)
Based on system geometry, airflow parameters, and first-pass test results, our current scientific and mathematical hypothesis places UV-Clear™'s equivalent clean air delivery contribution in the 30–50 eACH range for standard commercial duct configurations. This is a working projection, not yet a certified figure, it will be validated and refined as Phase 2 testing progresses. We're telling you the hypothesis now because compliance buyers deserve to know the number we're working toward, not just that we're "testing."
MANUFACTURE-READY
The platform design is finalized
The product line - ClearFlow 120, ClearFlow 240, ClearFlow 480, is production-ready across small commercial to large institutional air handler configurations. You are not buying a concept or a prototype pipeline.
You are engaging with a production-ready system that is still accumulating proof points.
HOW WELL DO YOU KNOW THE OTHER PRODUCTS?
Ask others how long they run their product before measuring their claimed 99% inactivation, and at what power draw. And did they add PTFE reflective material?
Their response may shock you. If they reply.
Why It Matters for Your Channel
Margin
UV-Clear™ is a premium, IP-protected product in a category where most alternatives are either unproven or over-engineered. The passive cooling innovation that makes dense UV-C LED arrays viable in moving air is covered by an issued U.S. utility patent, US 12,588,134 B2. You're not selling a commodity. You're selling the only commercially viable solution to a problem the whole category has been trying to solve.
Urgency already built in.
The mercury ban gives you a regulatory hook that opens the conversation without manufacturing pressure. Every customer running mercury UV-C systems is already on a clock. You're not pushing, you're informing. That's an easier sell and a shorter cycle.
Easy to spec.
One product family. Three sizes. Standard HVAC install. No specialized certification. No proprietary tools. No extended training requirements for your technicians or contractors. Repeatable across every building type in your service area.
Credibility behind it
Issued U.S. utility patent. Independent third-party testing against ASHRAE 185.1-2020, conducted by Airmid Healthgroup, an accredited laboratory in Dublin, Ireland. Phase 2 testing toward ASHRAE 241 Schedule F procurement compliance actively underway. That's the documentation trail your institutional buyers, hospitals, schools, government facilities, need before they approve a spec. You're not asking them to take your word for it. You're handing them the paperwork.
The competitive angle.
When your customers are evaluating alternatives, upgraded filtration, Far-UV in-room devices, ventilation increases, UV-Clear™ has a clean answer to each. Filtration adds fan load. Far-UV carries occupant exposure questions. Ventilation increases cost carbon. UV-Clear™ adds germicidal performance without any of those tradeoffs. That makes it easier to position and easier for your customers to say yes.
Portfolio scale.
Every building with HVAC is a candidate. Commercial office, healthcare, education, hospitality, government, transit, the addressable base is every customer you already serve. UV-Clear™ adds a high-margin, recurring-opportunity line to every existing relationship in your book.
UV-Clear™ proof
Real validation. Issued IP. Independent lab.
UV-Clear™ was tested against ASHRAE 185.1/2 standards with no PTFE reflective materials added to the duct and no burn-in where the device is running before measurement begins. Where We Stand
Relevant Standards and Regulations
ASHRAE 185.1-2020
Method of Testing UV-C Lights for Use in Air-Handling Units or Air Ducts to Inactivate Airborne Microorganisms. The methodology used in UV-Clear's completed first-pass independent testing. This is the recognized standard for evaluating in-duct UV-C systems, not a proprietary test protocol.
IN PROGRESS
ASHRAE 241-2023
Control of Infectious Aerosols. The first standard specifically addressing infection risk reduction through clean air delivery. Establishes equivalent clean air delivery rate (eACH) targets by space type. UV-Clear Phase 2 testing is actively targeting Schedule F procurement compliance.
ASHRAE 62.1
Ventilation and Acceptable Indoor Air Quality. The ventilation standard enforced by most jurisdictions. In configurations where UV-Clear™ satisfies clean air delivery requirements, it may reduce required outdoor air ventilation rates, decreasing energy load rather than increasing it.
Joint Commission Environment of Care Standards (EC.02.06.01)
Healthcare organizations must maintain safe physical environments, including air quality in patient care areas. UV-Clear™'s in-duct operation produces no occupant UV exposure, no mercury, and no ozone, and is backed by independent third-party testing following recognized methodology.
CMS Conditions of Participation
Hospitals and skilled nursing facilities must meet federal standards for infection control and environmental safety. UV-Clear™ operates continuously and passively inside ductwork, with no impact on occupant schedules or building operations.
